For Dentists and Specialists

What does my contract really pay?

Most offers look better on paper than they pay. The percentage is only half the story. What the office collects, whether your guarantee is a true minimum or a loan, and what production you get credit for decide what actually lands in your account.

Upload one or more offers, tell us a little about the office, and you'll get a plain-English read on what to really expect, plus the questions to ask before you sign. About 5 minutes. No email required.

Step 1

About you

Your specialty
How much do you expect to produce, compared to the average dentist?

This is the biggest driver of what you'll earn, so pick honestly. Think about your usual pace, how quickly you work, and the kind of dentistry you do. Not sure? Pick "About average." New to practice? Most new associates start below average.

Step 2

Your offer

Pick whichever is easier. The basics take about a minute. Uploading the contract lets us catch the fine print too.

Step 3

Anything else?

You'll get our estimate based on the information you provide and regional averages, so it may not match this office and could contain errors. Always verify the numbers with the office, and have a contract attorney review any agreement before you sign.

Common questions

What's the difference between being paid on production and on collections?

Production is what you do at the office's full fees. Collections is what the office actually receives after insurance write-offs and unpaid balances. At a PPO-heavy office, 30% of collections can pay much less than 30% of production.

What does a daily rate paid as the greater of mean?

You're paid your daily rate or your production pay, whichever is higher. The tool shows the daily production where your percentage passes the daily rate, so you can see how long the floor is really doing the work.

Why does the office's payer mix matter so much?

It decides how much of each dollar you produce the office actually collects. A fee-for-service practice may collect 90 cents or more, while a heavy PPO or Medicaid practice may collect 60 cents or less, and your percentage is applied after that.

Can I compare more than one offer?

Yes. Enter up to three offers, each tied to its own city and payer mix, and see them side by side at each stage of building your schedule.

Is my contract saved?

No. Uploaded contracts are read to build your report and are not saved by us. You're welcome to black out names first.

Is this legal advice?

No. It's an estimate built on your information and regional averages, so it may contain errors. Verify the numbers with the office and have a contract attorney review any agreement before you sign.
